For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person.
My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.
Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. So, I’ve decided to do exactly that. I cook for up to 14 people at my home in Krakow and you’re invited. Please join me!

Razem z mężem nie mogliśmy sie doczekać, żeby przyjechać do Marty na jej Leśną Ucztę. Niestety choroba dzieci pokrzyżowała nam plany. Mamy nadzieję, że już w krótce będziemy mieć możliwość gościć u Niej :)

It was lovely. Marta provided wine, greens with a wonderful dressing, and both a meat and vegetarian choice. Frankly, I particularly enjoyed her home with its gate and staircase. I would recommend this experience to sample new cuisine and to meet fellow guests or residents of Kraków.

U Marty byłam jak dotąd dwa razy, ale na pewno będzie więcej. Marta gotuje tradycyjne polskie dania w takiej odsłonie, w jakiej jeszcze ich nie jadłam. Używa świeżych składników, prosto z targu lub z ogodu na wsi, a dania zaskakują bardzo wyrafinowanym smakiem. Najlepszy śledź i barszcz w moim życiu...

Wow wow wow.....A fantastic evening of wonderful food shared with 11 guests under the attentive eyes of Martha and Mark. A delicious beetroot soup (with Martha's secret ingredient), a beef dish which just melted in your mouth with home grown and pickled vegetables and a lovely apple pie to finish with. The wine flowed and the 3 hours just went and I was sad we had to leave.
Eat away is a brilliant idea bringing people together whilst enjoying local traditional cuisine. A big thumbs up from me especially if like me you are travelling alone as its a great way to meet new people.

już dawno nie byłam na takiej uczcie dla podniebienia, a jeśli dodać do tego przyjazną atmosferę, interesujących ludzi, wnętrze, gdzie czujesz się jak w domu...wydaje się niemożliwe, a jednak...polecam:)
