A group of friends and I had a brilliant evening with Marta and Mark last week during a university trip to Krakow. The food was all seasonal and delicious and they were both very hospitable, constantly checking that we had everything we wanted and were enjoying ourselves. We also had a really lovely time chatting to all the other guests who came from a variety of backgrounds and countries, so all in all it was a highly memorable and enjoyable evening. Thank you both very much, we wish you both and the company lots of success going forward!

This was our first night in Kraków and what a wonderful way to start our holiday. We had a lovely time being entertained and looked after by Mark and Marta. The whole experience was extremely enjoyable from start to finish. We had some plum vodka to start with followed by a traditional Polish meal beautifully cooked by Marta. Mark kept the wine flowing!! We met some lovely people from all over the world and shared some very interesting stories. I would thoroughly recommend anybody not sure about this kind of thing. Do it!! You won't be disappointed. I had a wonderful meal at Marta's house. It was hands down the best way to end my two week holiday in Marta's kitchen. We had a delicious Polish dinner (I can't stop raving about the cabbage we had), but it was really the conversation that made the night wonderful. We immediately felt at home, and got to meet some very interesting people from around the world. Thank you Marta for your delicious dinner, and kind hospitality. I would highly recommend!

My daughter Mary and I had a wonderful meal, prepared by Marta, and served by her and her husband Mark at their apartment in Krakow. Everything was delicious, and Marta was gracious enough to make a special dish for Mary who is a vegetarian. The evening was very special, with other guests including a couple from Scotland, a younger couple from Chicago, and a young woman from Hungary. (Mary and I are from West Virginia in the U.S., and Mary is currently living in Scotland.) All in all, a great time for everyone.

We had a great time with Marta and family out in the Polish countryside, just 45 minutes from Krakow. After a few months of travelling it was wonderful to get a (5 course) home cooked meal. Iwona and Marta cooked up some great Polish classics, all of which were eaten in an idyllic setting in great company. We even got a proper croquet lesson from Mark between courses followed by a wild mushroom hunt. Good times!

We had a wonderful time with you that evening. We enjoyed the meal, the place you live, the company and above all - meeting you Marta and Mark. We will not forget your warmth and hospitality. We felt like you were our family. Best regards to you, I will be happy to meet you again (hopefully in Israel).

Marta and Mark are the most gracious of hosts, but also wonderful, warm people & Marta's food was absolutely delicious. I was only in town for the one night, having been there for work and I wouldn't have spent my night any other way. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a genuine, insightful and local experience and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Jednym z zaproszonych gości na obiad pod chmurką w Marcyporębie u Marty i Marka byłem i ja. Wczesnym popołudniem wsiadłem do samochodu wraz z dwójką znajomych i ruszyliśmy w kierunku Brzeźnicy. Z Krakowa to ponad 30 km, więc nie spiesząc się za bardzo (choć było na co), w jakieś 40 minut dotarliśmy na miejsce. Najpierw przywitała nas szczekając suka Tanka (ja mówię... Danka), a po chwili gospodarze i paru znajomych, którzy już zdążyli przyjechać. Pogoda dopisywała, więc najpierw siedliśmy przed murowanym domem na werandzie popijając kawę. W między czasie dojeżdżali kolejni znajomi, tak iż uzbierała się nas (licząc dzieci) z 20-osobowa grupa smakoszy. Zanim jednak poczuliśmy zapach przygotowywanych potraw, do naszych nozdrzy wraz z powiewem wiatru dochodziły zapachy kwitnących w ogrodzie drzew i krzewów. W pewnym momencie z domu wyszła Marta i siadając miedzy nami zaczęła opowiadać, jak wpadła na pomysł eataway, czyli goszczenia u siebie przy stole nie tylko znajomych, ale przede wszystkim turystów, serwując tradycyjną kuchnię polską. Wiadomo, że przy stole nie tylko się je, ale i biesiaduje - nie inaczej było i teraz. Kiedy pojawiły się pierwsze dania na stole, nie tylko Tance... ciekła ślinka. W wesołej atmosferze zaczęliśmy zajadać się różnego rodzaju sałatkami, zapiekankami, krokietami, a wszystko to na świeżym powietrzu i na zielonej trawce. Potem przyszła kolej na ciasta i nalewkę lub wino - jak kto wolał, a po godzinnym "leżakowaniu" Mark (zapewne w nawiązaniu do krokie

Everything was just what you hope for - but seldom are lucky enough to achieve. Martha's cooking was sublime: melt in the mouth duck that I will try (and fail) to emulate. The company was great, the wine flowed freely and the overall ambience was home from home (without the need to do the washing up)! A truly fantastic experience that I will genuinely treasure

Wraz z przyjaciółmi popołudniową porą trafiłem na Salwator, gdzie w mieszkaniu Marty i Marka mieliśmy zjeść sushi. Ktoś by pomyślał: czy aby na pewno przy tylu krakowskich restauracjach serwujących tą japońską potrawę uda się Marcie przygotować sushi z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Już po pierwszych porcjach stwierdziliśmy, że ta sztuka udała się gospodyni znakomicie. Wszystkie kawałki sushi z różnym nadzieniem robione były na bieżąco, więc gdy znikała kolejna porcja, nie mogliśmy się doczekać następnej. Jeszcze nigdy nie zjadłem takiej ilości sushi, co tego popołudnia, bo jeszcze nigdy tak mi ten przysmak japoński nie smakował jak tutaj!
