Pierogi! The Polish proud. The dish of many, many flavors. Sweet, sour, exquisite and simple, vegetarian, with meat, fruits or whatever you like. One of the most popular and one of the best polish dishes. Among these food treasures, you will find one of my favorite "pierogi ruskie" - with potato and cottage cheese stuffing.

While learning about pierogi you have to remember that they don't seem to be difficult but it is easy to make them untasty. During the workshop, I would like to introduce you to this topic and learn how to make "pierogi ruskie" but due to my family special recipe with the addition of two famous mountain kinds of sheep cheese. They are just delicious!

We will also need some dessert so for this occasion pierogi with fruits, melted butter and sweet cream are just perfect.

Cooking has always been in my house something more than just food. The heart of the house has always been the kitchen, in which we would sit with my beloved to share food, stories, everyday problems, and happiness. A home without the smell of tasty pie, hot soup, and a welcoming smile just isn't a real one.I would like to introduce you to Polish cuisine, which, I believe, is still not well-discovered. The second great passion that I would like to share with you is Polish art and culture, and my knowledge about my hometown, Kraków. I will share some stories and tips about the city if you like. I will be happy to welcome you to my house.

The atmosphere was very family-like. Ms. Hanna engaged the entire group in making pierogi. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. The workshop was held in a wonderful atmosphere, with conversations and anecdotes from the childhoods of both the group and Hanna. Interesting stories about the culinary history of Poland and Krakow were also shared. The closing feast took place in the kitchen where the workshop was held. The tableware was very interesting, and the pierogi dishes were delicious! After all, after such a good lesson, everything had to be delicious, and we were diligent students. And one more thing – the borscht! The red (beetroot) borscht that Ms. Hania served was delicious! Therefore, the culinary workshops led by Ms. Hanna were a hit and I recommend them to everyone!

Hanna and Coen were excellent hosts. The table was full, but everybody was comfortable. The entire dinner was delicious and the conversation was fun. Hearing stories of Coen's and Paul's (another guest) struggles to learn Polish made us feel less guilty about not learning more Polish words before our trip. Hanna gave us a tip about a stained glass museum and a very good map of the old town area. Paul gave us a tip about WiFi at the bottom of the salt mine - our tour guide didn't tell us about it. The little girls who came with their parents were very good dinner guests. This was a great way to start our visit to Krakow.
