Tex-Mex Dinner Buffet Fundraiser
I'm hosting a buffet style Tex-Mex meal in order to raise some money to offset the costs of my husband's current medical stay. He has been in intensive care for the past five weeks since his heart stopped and caused extensive brain damage. I will be cooking using the freshest Polish produce and meats as well as some spices I have brought from the United States. There will be options for vegetarians(V) as well as vegans (W) as designated in the menu below. If you have any dietary needs or special requests, please just let me know and I will try to accommodate you as best as I can. There is no set price for this meal - please come, eat all you want - or come and take away whatever you'd like (just please bring your own containers) - and pay whatever you would like. Once placing the booking, please mark "pay by cash directly to the cook” option, there’ll be a donation box on the table. I hope you can join us!

I am a psychologist who moved to Poland from the US over 3 years ago with my husband. Following his death, I moved around Poland a bit but now I am back in Krakow - the most beautiful city in Poland! I have always loved to cook and worked for a catering company while attending college. I still love hosting people at my home and cooking for them while sharing stories. My parents are originally from Poland and it has always been my dream to live in Poland and now I am fulfilling that dream.I have learned some of the ins and outs of Gdansk and other Polish cities and would be very happy to share some tips with you as well as sharing a meal. Whether making homemade Polish food taught to me by my mother and grandmothers, or American classics - especially Tex-Mex fare - I find sharing food with strangers makes you friends instantly.

There was a lot of tasty finger food perfect for a party and I really loved shrimps in garlic. However, I missed a typical Eataway atmosphere. It was more of a party and interaction with a host was very limited. I had a feeling that host ignored Eataway guests.

Enjoyed our Easter Brunch with Karen. The food was as beautifully presented as it was delicious and abundant. There was a delightful mix of guests including locals and fellow travelers which made for good conversation and a just a lovely afternoon.
