I am a teacher. I work with the young learner. I am a writer and woman entrepreneur. I have the experience in widely diverse fields. I worked in school, NGO, fashion house, law firm, food industry. I was born and grew up in Bangladesh which is famous for its distinctive taste. So I like to eat and cooking is like love for me. My mom's approach to food and cooking caused me to love this subject. I love doing experiments with food. When I am in the kitchen I start looking around to see what I have then play around with ideas. Usually, they are based around meat and vegetable in an Asian style of cooking. I love to cook for family and friends. I have friends from different parts of the world due to my stay in UK and Poland. My friends love my food and they keep encouraging me to do something with my cooking. I have so much passion for cooking good food, it brings me joy to watch others enjoy my food.

Anika is a lovely host and a creative cook that makes sure her guests eat more than enough - we counted 12 dishes yesterday! I was inspired by Anika's flavor combinations and enjoyed meeting her Polish friends. All in all, a lovely evening, thank you very much, or dziękuję bardzo, or আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ!

And there really was a lot of food :) We loved the welcome drink - salty and sour, perfect after a hot day! And the chickpeas, a little more on the spicy side (which is always a good thing ;) - they were great. It was a feast accompanied by some information about cooking in Bangladesh. We really enjoyed our company at the table as well. It was a very nice evening. All the best to your family, Anika!
It was a great experience - I had completely other expectation how the dishes would look like. They were delicious: less spicy and more fried than I expected. I liked the main dish and the welcome drink the most. Anika is a great host!
Amazing!! We did only got fed, but were also told stories about the origins of the food, ingredients, spices, recipes, which definitely did add something special to the meal. The food itself was delicious, we were served three entries plus two main courses and a dessert! Needless to say, I got out incredibly full.
I can't wait to go back to Anika and experience more of her delicious cooking!
That strange feeling a couple of moments before knocking the doors of your host. Did I reach the right place? Will the dinner actually happen? Who’s there to join me? Will I feel awkward? And then… a big warm smile welcomes you and all the doubts vanish. That’s the case of Anika. From the very start...
That strange feeling a couple of moments before knocking the doors of your host. Did I reach the right place? Will the dinner actually happen? Who’s there to join me? Will I feel awkward? And then… a big warm smile welcomes you and all the doubts vanish. That’s the case of Anika. From the very start, I’ve felt most welcomed at her place. Her apartment is small, but cosy and both Anika and her husband are there to make sure that you feel comfortable. When the starters arrive on the table, you already know that you won’t leave hungry. Everything tasted great and most importantly: authentic. My favourites: sorbot and piazu.
Make sure that you visit Anika and immerse yourself in the Bangladeshi feast! You'll have a great time!
