Our culinary meeting takes place in the beautiful Polish countryside not far from Krakow – about 30km south of the city towards Lanckorona and Wadowice. I will prepare a traditional Polish meal with local produce, much of which is grown in my cottage garden. Every Saturday throughout the summer, you can join me in a magical garden in the heart of the countryside. We will sit down outside and enjoy local produce in the fresh air. For sure, there will be several well-known dishes, starting with a soup – probably chicken broth, or fresh vegetable soup, then a main course of meat grilled on an open fire, or goulash cooked on a traditional wooden stove. For dessert, look out for delicious cheesecake with chocolate sauce, sprinkled with wild berries from the garden. Sometimes we cook a traditional “prażone” on the fire – ie a cast iron cooking pot filled with potatoes, bacon, cabbage, onion, wild duck or beef. For vegetarians, I will happily prepare fresh dumplings and salads. All you can eat - Delicious! Afterwards, we can go for a stroll in the surrounding forest – if you’ve never before collected mushrooms, now’s the time to discover a new passion You can come to the Polish House with children, animals, even aliens… the house is always open to good people !
The price includes all drinks.

For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person. My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. So, I’ve decided to do exactly that. I cook for up to 14 people at my home in Krakow and you’re invited. Please join me!
She had to cancel because of a family health situation, and gave me sufficient notice. She also offered to refund the fee.
Amazing
Excellent cooking class! This is the second time I have done this cooking class with Marta and 3 years later, it was just as great as the first time. Even with a larger group, she made sure everyone had an opportunity to be hands on. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed Marta’s class very much. She was flexible with our schedule and switched dates for us. She was very knowledgeable with the history of the pierogi. She let my three children actively help with the process. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend taking her class if you are ever in...

My husband and I spent a wonderful evening with Marta. It was our first night in Krakow and was perfect for an introduction to a city and a people we now love. We started out with some delicious starters and beer and got a very warm welcome from Martha while setteling in. From there, we started to make the delicious dumplings, which was a perfect choice of food given the size of our group (a total of 21 persons!). Martha was an incredible host with loads of experience and expertise in the food the was creating. She had many interesting facts about Poland and its culinary kitchen and generally just made sure all of us had a great and very unique time.
The night ended with an amazing homemade cheesecake and apple pie, which was a perfect ending to an already incredible evening.
I can not recommend this experience enough!
