Pierogi cooking class
Good day good people! It is time for delicious Polish PIEROGI lessons. Our culinary meeting takes place in the beautiful Polish countryside not far from Krakow – about 40km south of the city towards Lanckorona and Wadowice. I will prepare a traditional Polish meal with local produce, much of which is grown in my cottage garden in the heart of the countryside. Before pierogi cooking lessons we will sit down outside in the garden and enjoy the fresh air. (depends on the weather!) For sure, there will be several well-known dishes, starting with a soup – probably chicken broth, or fresh vegetable soup, then a main course of meat grilled on an open fire, or goulash cooked on a traditional wooden stove. For dessert, look out for delicious cheesecake with chocolate sauce or salty caramel, sprinkled with wild berries from the garden or Cracovian style apple pie. We will prepare together famous fresh dumplings with different stuffings (lots of fun and delicious!) The whole event will take 3-4 hours.

For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person.My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. Highly recommend! Marta is lovely, very knowledgeable and the pierogi were delicious! We made two varieties! I learned a lot and am excited to try at home. You also receive a full course dinner and the rest of the food was wonderful too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lesson with Marta. Not only were her instructions excellent, but the results were great, and the additional food items served with our pierogi were a nice surprise! Her kitchen alone is worth a visit! Her price for the class is very fair and reasonable.
