Pierogi, also known as Polish dumplings, are one of the most popular foods in my part of the world! Each one is a little hand-made parcel of deliciousness which is both heart-warming to eat and relaxing to make. My mother was a cook and, like in many Polish families, we would often all get together to make our meals, dividing up the process of making the filling, then the dough, then finally putting them together and cooking them. Whilst all of this took a bit of time, it was a chance, and still is, to sit together at home around a table and enjoy each others' company. Naturally, although it takes a bit of time to prepare, everything, once cooked, is eaten in a flash! I really look forward to teaching you the skill and pleasure of making pierogi at home. Once you've tasted how delicious they are, you'll understand why they are eaten so quickly!
I will be hosting this online cooking class from my home in Krakow. I look forward to having you as a virtual guest in my kitchen. Whilst we will be concentrating on making great pierogi, we will also have a chance to talk about anything else as well. For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person.My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. Highly recommend! Marta is lovely, very knowledgeable and the pierogi were delicious! We made two varieties! I learned a lot and am excited to try at home. You also receive a full course dinner and the rest of the food was wonderful too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lesson with Marta. Not only were her instructions excellent, but the results were great, and the additional food items served with our pierogi were a nice surprise! Her kitchen alone is worth a visit! Her price for the class is very fair and reasonable.
