Alice in Wonderland
Food and fun! We play wild, village croquet! My family is a bunch of nice, normal people who turn into competitive monsters when we pick up a croquet mallet. If you love croquet and would like to see a beautiful corner of rural Poland, come and join us for an afternoon meal and game. I will be cooking a traditional Polish meal. My favourite flavour has to be that of wild mushrooms. Half of my village is covered with forests, so mushrooms are everywhere, but still very precious. I use them in many different dishes starting with mushroom carpaccio with truffle oil, mushroom soup with sour cream topped with dry porcini, stuffed cabbage with wild mushrooms and groats, kaszotto (a kind of risotto) with... surprise : ) mushrooms, parsnip and parmesan . Despite working with very seasonal products I always find a place for forest mushrooms – each time in a different form. Everyone is very welcome!

For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person.My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. So, I’ve decided to do exactly that. I cook for up to 14 people at my home in Krakow and you’re invited. Please join me!

Wonderful experience for a traveller seeking real food experiences
What a lovely way to lunch and learn in Krakow! Marta is an excellent teacher and chef. We learned to make 3 different kinds of pierogi and then she served us a delicious soup, the pierogis and homemade bread and cheesecake. Oh, did I mention the vodka???
Marta was a very accommodating host and great at explaining all the steps to making delicious pierogi. Very enjoyable few hours- thank you
