Let’s keep this sweet tradition alive! For the eighth time, we are going to prepare huge amounts of doughnuts - as always we'll be cooking at the Children's Home at Parkowa 12 in Krakow - to celebrate Fat Thursday – one of our favourite Polish traditions.
Have you ever tried to make your own doughnuts? How about 2000 of them? Many of our cooks, including Konrad, Gosia, Cyna, Aga, Weruszka and Gregory have accepted the challenge of cooking through the night to have them ready as fresh as can be the next day!
Like last year, every single one of our doughnuts holds a very special meaning. When you order a box of doughnuts for yourself, you will be raising money for the Children's Home in Parkowa. Everything you pay will go towards building a new garden for the very youngest children at the home. This new garden is next door to Parkowa 12 (where we built the original garden)
How it works:
1. You can order as many boxes of fresh doughnuts as you want (each box is 8 doughnuts).
2. On Thursday 16th of February, you are welcome to come over and collect them (between 6am and 12 midday) from the Children's Home at Parkowa 12 and say hi! If you order 10 boxes or more we will be glad to deliver them to you in Krakow for free if you prefer.

For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.) I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful hometown, and more about the art of Polish cuisine, both through the website and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person. My grandmother and my mother were great cooks. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared.Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. So, I’ve decided to do exactly that. I cook for up to 14 people at my home in Krakow and you’re invited. Please join me!
This experience was fantastic. Marta welcomed us into her home, she was an absolute pleasure to talk to and we successfully made/ate delicious pierogi! The challah bread and cheesecake were a lovely bonus. Our group of four strongly recommend this cooking class and cannot rate it highly enough. Than...

The Pierogi Workshop was amazing. Our family of 6 that include 4 children really enjoyed the class. Marta made the kids feel welcome and got them involved in every aspect of making pierogi’s. To top it all off, the food was amazing and we could not have asked for a better host. Definitely recommend...
