Salwator Garden
Hallo autumn!!!!
And again after hot hot summer time in the garden we are back to our old, secret house situated in the center of the city. As always we will be cooking for You Polish meals with autumn/winter taste
What You can expect?
STARTERS;
- Bruschetta with homemade liver mousse served with raspberry sauce
- Bruschetta with white beam mousse (vegetarian)
- Small potato pies with carrot and nigella seeds (vegetarian)
- Typical polish dish with white beans, sausages and thick tomato sauce
- Seasonal vegetable salad with bunc (polish white cheese)
SOUPS;
- Traditional Polish soup or clear soup with homemade noodles
- Traditional Polish soup – Żurek
- Mushroom soup with homemade noodles
- Onion soup with croutons (vegetarian)
- Green pea soup with thyme (vegetarian)
MAIN COURSE;
- Classic Polish ‘bitki’ stew with homemade potato dumplings (kluski śląskie)
- Stew with red, green and yellow pepper
- Homemade dumplings with meat
- Homemade dumplings with cheese and potato (vegetarian)
served with cranberry and horseradish sauce/ beetroot and horseradish salad/ salted cucumbers/seasonal vegetable salad.
Desserts;
- Homemade apple pie
- Homemade cheesecake
For every dinner 1-2 glasses of wine per person are included

Hey! We're Elżbieta and Marianna and we live in Salwator district of Kraków.When we joined Eataway in spring, we organized all the events in our garden. In winter we decided to move the party to our 100-years-old house. Don't worry, all the ghosts are friendly and after a couple of shots od cherry vodka you can even sing a song with them! :))What are we going to cook for you? We'll prepare mostly traditional Polish cuisine, often we use receipes from befor the war!Every year from April to October we move our daily lives to the garden surrounding our house. Here we rest, work and, of course, eat.We thought it would be a nice idea to invite some people every week for a dinner in the garden. If you like green, birds singing and old houses, there is a big chance you will love it here :) And what if it will be raining? Of coursem we will move the table inside the house. Feel invited!

Elizbieta and Marianna were the perfect hosts, great chat, excellent food, especially the home made apple pie!
We wanted to have a meal with "real people" and get to know someone in Poland. My understanding is that normally, there would be up to eight guests. In our case, we were the only guests and Marianna would have been well within her rights to cancel the whole thing. But she did not and we...
We wanted to have a meal with "real people" and get to know someone in Poland. My understanding is that normally, there would be up to eight guests. In our case, we were the only guests and Marianna would have been well within her rights to cancel the whole thing. But she did not and we had the privilege of being her only guests. The meal was classical Polish dishes, new to anyone unfamiliar with Poland. Marianna is a good cook and the food was very enjoyable. The conversation even more so. Marianna has a fascinating job and is a pleasure to speak with. In short, if you want to do something just a little bit different and have a REAL Polish experience, I heartily recommend a visit with Elzbieta and Marianna.

We had a fabulous evening with these two ladies and fellow travellers from USA and Romania. We stayed fairly central in Krakow and walked to dinner very easily. Elzbieta and Marianna were very welcoming and had kindly left signs outside their house to guide us to the door. One of the other couples got the tram back and the stop was just at the end of the road. We were thoroughly entertained all evening by the stories of our hosts and were not rushed to leave.

Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful hosts! Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Polish food with good company in Krakow.
