Obwarzanki is a special sort of round roll/bagel typical for Kraków city. The history of Obwarzanki dates back to the Middle Ages. One can buy them all around the Old Town in the small mobile stalls. Just choose a favourite sprinkle: salt, sesame, or poppy seeds. I remember when I was a little girl, I would always grab one on my way to school...
Together with my friend Dora, we will teach you how to make Obwarzanki. We will lead you through the process, starting from kneading the dough until the very baking. After that, we will eat them solo, with butter, or with typical Polish, homemade spreads like Awanturka (bryndza - soft sheep cheese with sardines), Twarożek (cottage cheese with radish and cream), and eggs spread.
We will enjoy them together along with a nice cup of coffee or tea!

A home without the smell of tasty pie, hot soup, and a welcoming smile just isn't a real one.I would like to introduce you to Polish cuisine, which, I believe, is still not well-discovered. The second great passion that I would like to share with you is Polish art and culture, and my knowledge about my hometown, Kraków. I will share some stories and tips about the city if you like. I will be happy to welcome you to my house.

We were a big group of 13 learning from Hanna and her friend Dora how to make pierogi. Hanna was a very good teacher and we had a lot of fun duting our workshop. The pierogi was delicious and everyone had a great time :)

Hearing stories of Coen's and Paul's (another guest) struggles to learn Polish made us feel less guilty about not learning more Polish words before our trip. Hanna gave us a tip about a stained glass museum and a very good map of the old town area. Paul gave us a tip about WiFi at the bottom of the salt mine - our tour guide didn't tell us about it. The little girls who came with their parents were very good dinner guests. This was a great way to start our visit to Krakow.
Food was delicious! We loved Hanna's the interpretation of tomato soup, asparagus and deserts (pudding reminded me of my childhood). Hanna&Coen are super friendly and open minded and it was a great pleasure to dine with them, and really enjoyed the dinner! Thank you!

Great experience to get a real look into locals life. Besides the great cooking experience Hanna gave us a lot of information about the city. She was a perfect host and the Pirogis were delicious.
Great evening! Hanna and Coen are very nice people. We had dinner with 2 Americans, 1 Polish friend and the 2 is us, 2 Dutchies. Food was great and we had lovely conversations.
